Students who graduate or permanently separate from UConn will automatically be refunded their Husky Bucks account balances in accordance with the provisions below:
For Graduating Students:
Within ninety (90) days of graduation from the University, any remaining balance over a $1.00 in a student’s Husky Bucks account will automatically be credited to the student’s fee bill account and applied against any outstanding debt. If, after all debt is satisfied, a credit balance remains, then a refund will be issued.
For students who have enrolled in the Direct Deposit service in the Student Administration System, the refund will be deposited into the checking account on record. For all others, a refund check will be mailed to the student’s mailing/billing address listed in the Student Administration System.
For Students Who Withdraw:
For students who permanently separate from the University for reasons other than graduation, within ninety (90) days of the end of the semester in which the separation occurred, any remaining balance over $1.00 in a student’s Husky Bucks account will automatically be credited to the student’s fee bill account and applied against any outstanding debt. If, after all debt is satisfied, a credit balance remains, then a refund will be issued.
For students who have enrolled in the Direct Deposit service in the Student Administration System, the refund will be deposited into the checking account on record. For all others, a refund check will be mailed to the student’s mailing/billing address listed in the Student Administration System.
Refunds for Former Employees
Former employees may request a refund by going to the One Card Contact Form. We need the following information in your request:
- Name
- NetID
- Personal Email Address
- Message: Requesting a refund of Husky Bucks account balance
- Full address where refund check should be mailed
